The 2009 Edition
Wow! That was a fun movie. I will definitely add that to my collection when it comes out on video. While it was strange seeing a "different" Captain Kirk, it was still enjoyable seeing the new personifications of all these characters. Spock, Uhuru, Sulu, Checkov, Bones, Scotty.. They were all there. Plus a few nice surprises.
If I were the type to criticize it. I would be able to say things like...well... Checkov had dark hair.. or the Enterprise bridge chair was different.. In reality, it doesn't matter. It was a fun well composed, entertaining piece of filmmaking. I am of the belief that all Star Trek is good Star Trek. (yes, even The Final Frontier).
Well, if you want to go see a fun movie. Go see it.
