Biography
| I have always liked taking pictures but it wasn't until several years ago when I purchased my first "high-end" point and shoot Nikon Coolpix 8700 camera that I truly developed a love for photography. The moment I took that first photo of a miniature wild violet, that I otherwise would have walked on, and the photo was so beautiful that I used it as my desktop for the next few years, I knew this was my calling. I have since upgraded cameras a couple times. My current camera is the Nikon D200. It's a 10.2 megapixel camera and has served me well in all kinds of conditions from snow and rain to extreme heat. I have invested quite a few dollars in lenses as this camera shines with good quality glass and is quick to point out inferior glass. I have taken well over 50,000 photos and have posted many of them at DA. I was reluctant to sell my photos in any medium because I didn't want to commercialize my wonderful hobby. It has come to my attention through my postings here at DA that some people actually want to purchase prints of some of my works. I am honored and as such have created a print account here. As a free account, there really isn't much money to be made, which is just as well for me. I may upgrade it should it become necessary at some time in the future. For now though, I will just select a few photos and see how it goes. I am open to suggestions and request for my photos to be selected as prints. The rest is up to you, my fans. Thanks. ~V |
